It was silly, dancing in the park
like that. I was always one for doing silly things, but I couldn’t help but
feel like this time it was different, as a slight heat filled my cheeks. I kept
averting my eyes, trying desperately to avoid the fluttering in my stomach, and
the tightening of my chest that seemed to happen every time we locked eyes. I
wanted to make a joke about how good of a dancer he was, you know, when he wasn’t
stomping on my toes, but my mouth was dry. I just stayed quiet. As quiet as I
could between the nervous giggles and big smiles. It was a really nice night.
