After a tearful reunion, I showered Logan in praise and thanks for returning Sinda home safely.

Alice: Oh butterscotch, I don’t know what I would have done if you hadn’t found her. I wish I was like you and could remain so calm and collected in hard situations.

Logan: It just takes practice. And besides, I’ll always be here to help you.

Alice: Always?

On his way home from a quick fix-it job, Logan spotted a familiar face.

Logan (squinting in the rain): Sinda, is that you? How’d you get all the way out here, girl? Alice is worried sick. Come on, let’s get you home.

Sinda: Bork, bork.

The next day I woke up to an empty apartment. Sinda was nowhere to be seen. I called for her and shook her favorite squeaky toy but to no avail. Could she be mad at me for that eight hour walk? Restless, I called the only person I knew.

Alice: Logan, Sinda is missing! I don’t know what to do. She’s never been gone like this before, she always comes back. What if something happened to her?

Logan: It’s fine. I’m sure she’ll come back, Al. A puppy always finds it’s way home.

Sinda was getting a little stir crazy, so we took a nice long walk. Approximately eight hours, in fact. Let me tell you, the Riverview dog park wasn’t worth my aching feet.

I’ve been getting more into painting. It helps to grease the wheels when I hit a writer’s block. Maybe I should switch career paths?

Logan: It’s okay.

It was silly, dancing in the park
like that. I was always one for doing silly things, but I couldn’t help but
feel like this time it was different, as a slight heat filled my cheeks. I kept
averting my eyes, trying desperately to avoid the fluttering in my stomach, and
the tightening of my chest that seemed to happen every time we locked eyes. I
wanted to make a joke about how good of a dancer he was, you know, when he wasn’t
stomping on my toes, but my mouth was dry. I just stayed quiet. As quiet as I
could between the nervous giggles and big smiles. It was a really nice night.

One thing leads to another… and suddenly we’re dancing in the park?

Logan: I really liked the movie. Who knew Psycho Podiatrist could be so enjoyable?

Alice: Speaking of podiatrists… Ouch.

Logan: Oh my god, I’m so sorry!
