LUNA: Shall we go and play on the swings before it gets really dark?
PERZIK: Yes please!
WITTE: Hi sweety! I see you made a new friend?
PERZIK: Is that your mother? What is she going to do here?
LUNA: I think she’s working at the hotdog stand over there… Mom? What are you doing?
WITTE: Fate brought me here child. Someone’s gotta sell those damn hotdogs…
LUNA: What would you like me to write about?
PERZIK: You could say, maybe…about me coming here…from a different country…and meeting you!
LUNA: I think I could figure something out, definitely!
PERZIK: Awesome! I can’t wait to read the story!
PERZIK: And what do you do?
LUNA: After school? I like to write and paint.
PERZIK: Paint and write what? Did you teach yourself?
LUNA: I like to write adventure stories and I often try and recreate them by painting them on canvas. My mom likes to paint too and she taught me.
PERZIK: You could write a story about me?
LUNA: Yeah, I think so!
PERZIK: This play ground is huge! We don’t have big playgrounds in Champ les Sims…
LUNA: Aww, that’s a shame! What do you do after school then?
PERZIK: I like to bake! Cupcakes, cakes, cookies!
LUNA: That sounds super yummy!
PERZIK: You should come by…maybe tomorrow? I could bake cupcakes and you can eat them?
LUNA: Count me in!
Alice: The sky is really pretty tonight.
Logan: It’s okay.
Alice: You’re so cute, Logan. Simple, but cute.
It was silly, dancing in the park
like that. I was always one for doing silly things, but I couldn’t help but
feel like this time it was different, as a slight heat filled my cheeks. I kept
averting my eyes, trying desperately to avoid the fluttering in my stomach, and
the tightening of my chest that seemed to happen every time we locked eyes. I
wanted to make a joke about how good of a dancer he was, you know, when he wasn’t
stomping on my toes, but my mouth was dry. I just stayed quiet. As quiet as I
could between the nervous giggles and big smiles. It was a really nice night.
